Présentation
score 27 pag. • for child narrators, mixed choir (SATB) and Symphonic band • Canon pro Pace" (Canon for Peace) (1994)
The piece has been performed numerous times in major centers and events. It was entered in the 2005-2006 season of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and performed by the Choir of the Scala, in conjunction with the Children's Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala and the Conservatory "G. Verdi "in Milan.
The piece, which seeks the orchestral grandeur which contrasts with the intimate expressiveness of the time of recitation of poems by six children, is on the theme of peace.
The text of the canon (which is a real musical canon) uses a single but meaningful verse of the late Roman poet Silio Italico (25 c. -101 AD), whose translation says: Peace is the best of things, and in the highest degree, that were given to man. " Pax optima rerum quas homini novisse datum est.
