Score 22 pages • Work commissioned by the Civic Council Wind Orchestra of Milan (COF Civica Orchestra di Fiati del Comune di Milano) • In Folk Style is a tribute to the spirit of popular music, by which people of every nation expresses the soul and the profound identity of their culture. The catching themes highlight all the parts of the Concert Band. The composition is structured in three movements according to the traditional tripartition (fast - slow - fast). Each of the individual movements treats differently some popular melodies that belong to different cultures and geographical areas. The Prelude opens with a large initial introduction in which a yddish melody is very freely elaborated. The second movement (not included: see cat.N° wky0019), Irish Song, is an Irish folk song. The third movement (not included: see cat.N° wky0019), Tzigane Suite, is a suite on motifs from the Balkans.
