score 5 pag. • For Child Choir and Organ • Text language: Italian • comprises 16 choir parts • Piccoli cantori (Little Singers) is a simple and short piece designed and conceived for the Scuola Cantorum Vox Animae, choral child voices conducted by the author of the text, Enzo Marino. Built on the alternation of the three verses and the refrain, the piece features "vocal luminosity" in the four repetitions of the latter, which is the main element of the composition. The very central weave and the linearity of the melodic line make this piece an elegant and effective composition. There is no need for a broad vocal formation and, if necessary, it is also possible to subdivide the structure into two major sections: the refrain, reliable to the school, while the verses, reliable to a young soloist or soprano. This hypothesis is not mentioned in the score because it is highly advisable to perform with child voices only • Alberto Maniaci
