Enrico Blatti was born in Rome in 1969
After getting the diploma in Clarinet with honors,he qualifies in Composition , Band Instrumentation ,
Conductorship and Choral Music.
He attends lessons in Jazz music at the Academy of Music “L.Refice” in Frosinone.He studies arrangement with Larry Blank and Composition at the Academy of Music in Siena (Chigiana school) with Azio Corghi.As instrumentalist won the IV National Competition “Città di Moncalieri”(1989) and the IV International Competition “Città di Capri” (1990).
In 1995 founds the wind instruments ensemble (Nuovarmonia ensemble) whose is director and arranger.
With Nuovarmonia he makes several concerts in the most important italian and international Associations.He was in Argentina,Chile,Uruguay,Lituania,Portugal,Austria, Hungary, Tourkey and Greece.
He has collaborated whit artist of international fame:Richard Galliano,Marcelo Nisnman,Fernando Suarez Paz, Lee Konitz,Amij Stewart and Cheryl Porter
He has recorded a CD dedicated to Astor Piazzolla for the Tactus Fugit.
In 1999 he was the winner of the Orchestra Conductorship course “I giovani talenti” city of L’Aquila.
In 2002 he won the first prize in the International Competition in Composition “L’Ironia e la musica” city of Rome,the first award in the National Competitions for arrangers “Pippo Barzizza” town of Sanremo obtaining the highest mark from M° Ennio Morricone,president of the examining board.
He has received honourable mention from the jury at the International Competition in Orchestral Composition “2 Agosto” in Bologna 2003.He has been a finalist in the XVI Big Band arrangement competition Barga Jazz 2003 ,in the International Competition in Composition “Seghizzi” in Gorizia 2003 and in II Intenational Competition town of Comines (Belgium).
Many of his compositions are published by Rai Trade,Reverberi sonori,Eufonia,Tactus Fugit,Wicky.
Since 1999 he has been collaborating as conductor with “Istituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese”
He has arrangedseveral ensemble buch as: 'Accademia Quintet of Prague, Arditti Quartet,Accademia Quartet of L’Aquila ,Villa Lobos Quintet of Rio de Janeiro , Concert Impromptu of Paris , Elysèe Quartet of Paris Onxy Quintet of Toronto ,Quartet Sax of Stokholm , Hindemith Quintet of Munchen , CityWinds Quintet of San Francisco, Anima Quintet of Montpellier, Danisch Sax Quartet of Copenaghen.
For years he has been devoted to the studyand spread of latin-american music and all the composers takimg inspiration from events of popular orign.he is also a critic to many trade magazines.
