An eclectic composer endowed with great sensitivity, he ranges through a number of musical genres with more than a hundred compositions intended for a variety of groups. His music characterized by a spontaneous melodic creativity and by a refined harmonic style always hits the audience’s sensitivity. Since 2001 he collaborates with the Wicky Musical Editions by working on
ambitious and innovative musical projects, many of which successfully carried out. His compositions are recorded by excellent Italian orchestras (Fiatinsieme, Filarmonica Musikè, Wind Orchestra of Trapani’s Conservatoire, Filarmonica Bosconerese, etc). Uncommon, if ever unique, example of composer who sees his work applied to a band formation, with a variety of arrangements that space through very different styles ranging from brass groups, to string ensembles and symphonic orchestras. Significant his choice of Panormus Brass (brass quintet with percussions) of Palermo’s Teatro Massimo that besides having recorded his pieces invited him as artistic conductor for DALLA A ALLA ZISA CD issued in May, 2005. For the genre Music and Theater, included in Wicky Art Project series, he composed Il Bambino e la Guerra (The Child and the War, a manifesto against the wickedness of the adult world), Epistola di Sadi (Sadi’s Letter), il Cane e il Cavallo (The Dog and the Horse) and Candido (Candid) based on Voltaire texts, Il Panciotto Fatato (The Magic Vest, from a Nicola Milazzo’s short story), Variations on Old McDonald's Theme (based on a Marco Manera’s text). Many of his works are used as compulsory pieces in musical contests: Giuditta, Moon, La Danza del Sole (Sundance), Russian Melodies have characterized the national competition during the last years in A.M.A Calabria’s National Bands sector. La Danza del Sole, one of the most performed works both in Italy and abroad has been a compulsory piece in the Saint Vincent’s (Valle d’Aosta) international band contestcompetitions; In Diebus Illis for the Gangi’s (Palermo) Musical Bands national competition; Minuetto, Jazz, Waltz and Corale for S. Percacciolo di Mirto’s (Messina) recorder national competition; Est Fugando and Manola for the Belvedere Marittimo’s (Cosenza) brass quintet of young performers national competition.
