Ros, Pepito

Pepito Ros Eclectic musician, composer, active both in the classical and jazzistic field, after having completed his musical studies by the “G.Martini” Conservatory in Bologna, has graduated in saxophone and chamber music by the European Conservatory in Paris under the teaching of Bruno Totaro.
Winner of national and International competitions (the latest is the 2003 international competition “Piazzolla music Award” for soloist and symphony orchestra.), Ros has partecipated to many Festivals : (Festival du Saxophone In Paris, The Fenice concerts, X° world saxophone congress, Frankfurt Musikmesse, Asolo Musica, X° colloquio di informatica musicale, 1998 S.Sebastian Jazz Festival, Sentieri Selvaggi, Jazz at the Philarmonic 2004, I Concerti del Quirinale in Rome, Amici della musica in Trento and Verona, ecc).
As a soloist, he performed with the Chamber Orchestra of “Padova e del Veneto”, with the Bacau Symphonic Orchestra and with the coral group “Quadrivium”.
He has collaborated and played with: Stefan Milenkovich, Antonio Albanese, Antonella Ruggiero, Franco D’Andrea, Paolo Fresu , Andrea Dindo, Andrea Dulbecco, European Saxophone Quartet ecc..
His compositions dedicated mostly to saxophone have been performed in Italy, France, Belgium, United States, Germany, Austria, Holland, Hungary, Finland ecc.
Ros has also collaborated with: Rai Orchestra in Milano, Arena in Verona ,”La Fenice” Theatre in Venice, The Municipal Theatre in Trieste.
He teaches saxophone by the “F.A.Bonporti” Conservatoire in Trento, Italy.
