Sergio Parisini - Pianist, conductor, composer and arranger


Born in Bologna (Italy) in 1939 and living in Milan since 1968. He earned his degree in piano in Bologna and composition in Milan. As a pianist and arranger, he worked with the Teatro Piccolo in Milan under the direction of Patrice Chereau for the realization of Joachim Murieta by Pablo Neruda and with Enrico Maria Salerno as coordinator and pianist of the musical ALPHA BETA.

He has also worked with leading Italian artists who composed music for television, ballet and theater works. He has conducted for several years the Symphony Orchestra of the San Remo Song Festival.

He has also composed music in the field of contemporary music for wind instruments. The symphonic opera "L'ultimo Burattino" for narrator and orchestra/ensemble,  inspired by the fairy tale "PINOCCHIO" by Collodi, originally was written as a musical and successively transcribed for other formations. The world première by the Wind Orchestra conducted by Francesco Vizioli of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, took place in Florence in 2007.  In addition, he has written the "Concerto per Oboe and Orchestra Op. 9. His composition "Giulio Cesare", a symphonic suite, was commissioned and premièred by the Federation of Symphonic Orchestras  of Trentin (Italy) at the 8th World Conference of Wasbe in Schladming (Austria) in 1997.
