PIETRO MIANITI (1959)  • Born in Parma, he studied viola, composition and conducting. From 1999 to 2003, he, at the invitation of Luis Alva, the role of Music Director of the Association Prolirica of Peru, for which he directed at the Teatro Segura in Lima: Turandot, Tosca, Falstaff, The Barber of Seville, Aida, Rigoletto, Messa di Gloria by Puccini, Verdi’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. In 1998 he was Principal Conductor of the Orchestra Das Beiras in Portugal. Piero Bellugi, Donato Renzetti and Jacques Delacote they wanted, as an assistant in various international productions. It is dedicated to the execution of rare works (The Passion of Jesus Christ of Salieri in Brno, Czech Republic) and contemporary music. For the circuit As.Li.Co. directs L’elisir d’amore (2004), I Capuleti ei Montecchi (2005), Madama Butterfly (2007), Turandot (2008), La Traviata (2010). From 2005 to 2011 he was Music Director of the University of Roma Tre. In 2008 he began his collaboration with the Academy of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan with a tour of the United Arab Emirates. In the Aula Magna of the University “La Sapienza” of Rome, he directed the concert for the 80th anniversary of Ennio Morricone music by Matteo D’Amico and Michele Dall’Ongaro. In 2009, at the Teatro Carignano in Turin, directs the concert for the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, “Music as national identity” with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI. Directed at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, a ballet choreographed by Amedeo Amodio. It is present both at the Festival Mi.To. that the Venice Biennale where he performs a concert with music by Xenakis and John Mancuso. Directs the Festival “Giuseppe Sinopoli” of Taormina, at the San Carlo in Naples a concert with Ute Lemper, concerts of music by Pergolesi and Tosca in the Roman amphitheater in Pompeii for the summer season of the Teatro di San Carlo. Verona Arena directs the first edition of the Oscar of the Opera with the Orchestra “The Italian Virtuosi” and Chorus of the Teatro Regio di Parma. He is the founder of the Italian Piano Quartet, with whom he performed at the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto, Lygon Melbourne Arts Festival, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Kleine Musikhalle in Hamburg, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic and the Dixon Gallery in Memphis. In addition to his activities as a conductor, he has worked, as principal violist with leading orchestras and opera Italian symphony.
