MICHELE FEDRIGOTTI He studied music at the Milan Conservatory, graduating in piano and harpsichord with honors, and in composition and conducting. He lives an intense and eclectic musical career as pianist, composer, conductor and teacher dedicated to a varied repertoire, from ancient to contemporary music, with particular attention to F. Chopin, and improvisation. For teaching, from 1976 to 1995 professor of piano at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan, from '95 teaches piano, and related historical and analytical subjects, at the conservatories (Lecce, Piacenza, Ferrara, Milan, Alessandria, Novara current location) From 1997 to August 2008 was educational and artistic director of the Academy of Vivaldi Locarno (CH), school belonging to the Federation of Schools of Music from the Ticino (FeSMuT). Between Italian and foreign institutions and organizations with whom he collaborated, include among others, the Teatro alla Scala, the Pomeriggi musicali, the Angelicum, the Catholic University in Milan, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto , the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and Florence, the Teatro dell'Opera di Genova, the Teatro Regio di Parma, Autunno musicale di Como, the National Theatre in Warsaw, Teatr Wielki in Poznan, the Symphony Orchestra of Radio and Romanian television in Bucharest, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the National Orchestra of Moldavia, the Royal Philharmonic of London, Swiss Telethon. As a pianist in performances of ballet recalls his collaboration with the "Italian Society of Ballet" with Carla Fracci and Ballet of Teatro alla Scala. He has long worked, as a pianist and arranger, with the singers F. Battiato, Alice and in the production of shows and LP, and for theatrical productions with Teatro Gioco Vita of Piacenza, with TAM, the Teatro Due of Parma, the CRT device, and has collaborated, among others, with Giuni Russo and the actors Edmond Aldini, Moni Ovadia, Ferruccio Soleri. He was often performer in the first representations or recordings of works by contemporary authors such as L. Abatangelo, L. Chailly, F. Battiato, C. Galante, M. Tutino, R. Cacciapaglia, D. Lorenzini, L. Einaudi, E. Morricone, A. Nidi, A. Nunez Allauca, G. Pio, T. Rinesi. As composer he’s author, inter alia, of a Cantata, Cristo e i Giudici (1987), works for orchestra, songs and chamber music, and music for film and theater, including "La vita che vorrei", film directed by G. Piccioni (2004) "Un’ora sola ti vorrei", "Per sempre", A. Marazzi’s documentaries, 2004, 2005, "Giuseppe Moscati, l’amore che guarisce" television miniseries, directed by G. Campiotti. It is often devoted to productions for children: he realized musics for "Pepè and Stella" (2006) "Frog" (2009), "Chien Bleu" (2010), Little Asmodeo (2012), The Stone and the Child (2013) for the Teatro Gioco Vita of Piacenza, Brema’s musicians (2012) for Lupus in fabula’s company and, with A. Tavolazzi and C. Sinigaglia, of “Sette veli intorno al re” (Sony Music 2004), CD for children and parents with important significance for charity for Emergency, Ecar Mandabè and the Tibetan Children's Villages, with the participation of many italian singers, among others, F. Battiato, F. De Gregori, F. Guccini, F. Cigliano, M. Ovadia, F. Taher, N. Kekhog, S. Bollani, C. Taranto, Don R. Simionato. He founded in 2009 the Associazione musicale Kairòs, for the diffusion of musical culture, of which he is president. In celebration of the bicentennial of the 2010 Chopin, as well as Chopin recitals, attended the show "En attendant Chopin" produced by Teatr Wielki in Poznan (PL), replicated in more than thirty performances in Poland (Poznan and Wielkopolska), and in Havana (Cuba), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Montevideo (Uruguay), Santander (Spain), and performed the 1rst E minor concerto, op 11 with an historical instrument, a Broadwood of 1849 identical (and built only few months later) to the one used by Chopin in his last english tour in 1848/9, for Milano Classica Orchestra’s inaugural concert of the 2010/11 season in Milan. Since the beginning of 2014 he is artistic director of the chamber orchestra Milano Classica.
