Alberto Maniaci (Palermo, 1987)
young pianist, composer and conductor he earned his degree in piano at the Conservatory of Palermo with honors, praise and mention. For some years he deepens the study of conducting with Ennio Nicotra in Perugia and Piero Bellugi in Florence. His conducting experience led him to perform with the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, Orchestra Young Sicilian Soloists, the Academy Concertante d'Archi of Milan, the Sicilian Jazz Orchestra, Florence Symphonietta, Peter the Great Music Academy (St. Petersburg) and the Philharmonic Toscanini in Parma.
Alberto Maniaci was selected to participate in the musical "Marco Polo to the Court of the Great Khan" in the "International Festival of Children" held in Shanghai (China) in July 2004.
Besides his activity as a composer and director he plays as a solo pianist as well as with chamber ensembles, from duo to quartet.
